Lucknow: The Samajwadi Party (SP), led by former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, has released its latest election campaign song on the party’s official YouTube channel, SP TV. The video showcases key infrastructure achievements from Akhilesh Yadav’s tenure, including metro stations, sports stadiums, and expressways. The theme of PDA (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) is also highlighted, while visuals of Akhilesh Yadav alongside senior leader Azam Khan are prominently featured.
Akhilesh Yadav Targets BJP Government
At a press conference held in Lucknow, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav launched a sharp attack on the ruling BJP government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He raised concerns over the rising incidents of animal attacks across several districts, including Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Bahraich, Rampur, Sitapur, Sambhal, and Amethi.
Referring to a recent incident, he said, “A leopard carried away a little girl. The forest department rushed to the spot and gave the family ₹25,000 in compensation. But what is the government really doing? Since the BJP came to power, cases of deaths and injuries have risen sharply. So far, 60 people have lost their lives and more than 200 have been injured.”
Concerns Over Increasing Animal Attacks
Yadav further stated that attacks on farmers working in fields have increased, forcing them to build fences and barriers to protect themselves and their crops. He noted that stray bull attacks are becoming common in cities, even sparking conflicts between residents and animal lovers in housing societies.

Criticizing the government’s handling of cow shelters, he alleged that even cows are not safe there, with carcasses being buried inside the shelters. He accused the Yogi government of lacking any concrete policy or scheme to address the issue of stray animals, deforestation, and environmental management. “The government cleared budgets for river cleaning and tree plantations, but neither the rivers have been cleaned nor trees planted,” he added.
The launch of the new campaign song signals the SP’s attempt to project its achievements while intensifying criticism of the ruling BJP ahead of the upcoming elections.
